SUMMARY:Concerto finale e premiazione del concorso Dante 700

SUMMARY:Final concert and award ceremony of Dante 700 Competition
DESCRIPTION:Final concert and award ceremony of the Dante 700 Competition\n1st October at 21:00\nTeatro Politeama – Prato \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPerformance of the three finalists’ pieces of the competition\, announcement and awarding of the winner \n> Francesco Darmanin (ITALY) – In alto mar per dritto segno \n> Ruggero Laganà (ITALY) – Laudante – Il canto di Francesco \n> Michał Ziółkowski (POLONIA): de natura caelestis \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCamerata Strumentale di Prato | Orchestra Filarmonica di Firenze – La Filharmonie \nNima Keshavarzi\, conductor \nAbout the concert\nThe word «sinfonia» – symphony – entered the Italian language thanks to Dante’s Commedia. It appears in the third Cantica with the verse «the dulcet symphony of Paradise». Coming from the whirling linguistic forge of him who «was of the mother tongue a better smith»\, the word undertook a glorious path in the history of music until today. It is this which in the first place moved two orchestras from Tuscany\, Camerata Strumentale Città di Prato and La Filharmonie\, to connect in an act of gratitude towards Dante\, on the 700th anniversary of his death. Guiding musicians to draw inspiration from the Divina Commedia with an International Competition of Symphonic Composition seemed an appropriate idea to the two institutions. The invitation to dialogue with Dante is offered again in this second edition\, by drawing the composers’ attention on the wonderful verses of the Canto XI of Paradise\, where Dante celebrates St. Francis of Assisi\, a figure who radiates the universal themes of Peace\, Poverty\, love of Nature and respect for the Environment. The three scores will be performed by the Camerata Strumentale Città di Prato and the Filharmonie Orchestra conducted by Maestro Nima Keshavarzi in the final concert open to the public at the Teatro Politeama Pratese. At the end of the concert the Jury of the competition will determine the winner. \nNima Keshavarzi\nPersian by birth\, he studied violin\, composition and conducting at the Florence Conservatory and at the Fiesole Music School. He specialized in orchestral conducting at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels\, at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne. Since 2015 he has been assistant to Roberto Abbado in numerous operatic and symphonic productions and collaborates with some of the major Italian and European theaters such as the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome\, the Regio in Turin\, the Palau de les Arts in Valencia\, the Teatro Comunale in Bologna \, the Regio di Parma – Verdi Festival\, Rossini Opera Festival. Co-founder and musical director of La Filharmonie – Florence Philharmonic Orchestra\, he has conducted\, among others\, the Iranian National Orchestra\, the Camerata Strumentale Città di Prato\, the Tehran Symphony Orchestra\, the Arché Orchestra of Pisa\, the Orchestra of the Bulgaria Classica foundation\, the Symphonia Assai Orchestra of Brussels. \n  \nTickets\n30 min before the concert at the box office of Teatro Politeama Pratese \nOnline at the following link: https://www.ticketone.it/eventseries/dante-700-3481026/
